There is never lack of donation seekers at train stations and I meant the legitimate ones. There is a always a cause and they come one after another, unlike our public holidays which are concentrated at beginning and the end of the year.
Now before I get condemned for lack of empathy and sympathy, let it be known I did my fair share of volunteer work until I got fed-up with the management and donated now and then without even claiming tax rebate.
With charity and stuff, sooner or later, you find the merchandise is the same only with different themes particularly so with the bears. On ANZAC charity run, the bears will be in uniforms, on Daffodils Day which is cancer charity run, it wears blue shorts etc etc... I reckon you can start a collection by just purchasing these bears at various charity events and have your own collection of charity bears.
It even has a nice ring to it. I bought this bear on a particularly altruistic day and also because I relate to cancer having lost friends and family to this terrible disease. May it one day just be a zodiac sign.
